Terms & Conditions

  1. By completing our customer information form you are confirming that you are the rightful owner of the device(s) you are trading in or recycling, or that you have the permission of the owner(s) to do so.
     
    1. The value displayed for each ‘working’ device is only valid if it meets our ‘working device’ requirements. These include a working battery, switches on and off, that the display is intact and working, and in fairly good cosmetic condition without broken parts; that the device is neither destroyed nor has suffered water damage, and that the mobile phone is the same make and model as selected on the online form submitted by you.
    2. To guarantee the value shown for each device on the website, we must receive your device within 14 days of placing your order. Your return postage paid padded envelope will usually be posted to you within 24 hours of receiving your request. Any payments due to your device will only be awarded once it has been verified that they match the details of the online form submitted.
    3. Within any 12 month period, an individual can only trade-in a combination of 10 different devices. However, a person may trade-in more on exceptional circumstances after they have contacted us and fulfilled some required declaration.
       
    1. The owner of the device is responsible for transferring or terminating any contract and obligation linked to the phone or device that is being traded. Myfonerecycle will not be responsible for any pending obligation or its continuing effects in any circumstantial way.
    2. Myfonerecycle will not be responsible for any unauthorised access to the information contained in your device, or in the case of mobile phones, any call costs arising before or after the phone is sent in, or arising in any other circumstances whatsoever. Should there be any call costs, or any such issues as may affect a smooth transaction, the applicant must resolve such issues before trading.                                               
    3. Chargers and other accessories are accepted but they do not increase the value of the mobile phone(s). Mobile phones that are fully charged are tested and processed quicker than when they are flat out.
       
    1. The SIM card, data cards, images and other information should be removed from the phone. If we receive your device with any data in them we will professionally dispose of them. We will not be responsible for the loss, disclosure, misuse of any such personal information contained in your device.
    2. If your device is not featured on the website you can still submit it for recycling and we will advice you as appropriate regarding its value.
       
    1. On receipt and approval of your mobile equipment, we will send you a confirmation of by email. If we receive a device that does not match the details on the online form submitted (i.e. it is a different make or model or is a non-functioning phone or is in a different working condition as that stated on the information you provided on the online form) we will email you with a revised value or advise you that your phone does not satisfy the required conditions. If you do not wish to accept the revised value or continue with the trade in, you must request by email that the phone be returned. This you must do within 48 hours of the email notifying you of the revised value. A £5.40 handling fee will be charged to return the phone using Special Delivery. If no request to return the phone is received within 48 hours, then the trade-in will continue with the revised value or the phone will be destroyed or otherwise disposed of at our option.
    2. ‘Condition’ for the purposes of using our site shall mean the operational state of your device; ie whether it’s in full and in '100% good working order' without any body scatches and without any malfunction whatsoever. That is, it will have non of the following conditions:

      1. Leaking or broken screen (LCD),
      2. water damage,
      3. broken or missing parts,
      4. battery charging defect,
      5. network connecting/navigation/tracking defect,
      6. earpiece/audio defect or any other internal or physical damage as we may determine,
      7. if it's imitation (not original) or possesses parts that are not original,
      8. OR whether it is 'defective', in which case it has any of the above conditions.
         
    3. Should any of the stated faulty conditions, or any such other not stated above but found in the course of inspection and not stated by you, intentionally or ignorantly, at the point of sale, shall receive a reversed valuation which we shall communicate to you by email.
       
    1. All devices received are checked against a database of stolen items. In the event that such a device is received by us there will be no value for it and it will be handed over to the Police along with the senders contact details.
    2. All mobiles phones that did not meet our test requirement will be sent back to the sender, and they will be liable for the cost of the special delivery return postage.
    3. We will send you a Free Certificate of Postage which you can get stamped at the Post Office. In the event that the phone is lost in the postal system, FCP will then cover you for up to £32 which should be claimed directly from Royal Mail. If the value of the mobile phone(s) is more than £32, we advise that they are sent to us via Special Delivery from the Post Office. This will enable you to track your phone until it arrives with us and minimises the risk of losing them. Myfonerecycle will not accept responsibility for items that we did not receive or that were lost in transit.
       
    1. All payments will be made either by cheque, Paypal or bank transfer or charity donation. Please note that cheque payments are only made for items over the value of £40.
    2. All payments for successful transactions should be made within 1-5 working days after your device was certified ‘approved’, and this we should confirm by an email.
    3. Payments not received by the end of the 7th day after we have notified you that they have been made must be reported back to us via an email or telephone call. You will need to include the proof of your ‘approved’ certificate for that particular transaction.
